Participate

Participation in Youth Ready Chicago is rewarding for both employers and teens. By participating, employers have the opportunity to contribute to the education and development of youth in their communities and increase their personal pool of potential employment candidates for the future.

Here are some ways employers can participate in Youth Ready Chicago:

Hire

Hire a young person through the program. Opportunities for youth are typically six to eight weeks and must pay at least minimum wage. It’s a small investment for a big return! Pledge today or gather more

Hire Youth with Disabilities

Youth Ready Chicago provides individuals, ages 16-21, with disabilities the opportunity to obtain apprenticeships, internships and jobs that will build a bridge between their classroom experiences and possible career choices. Learn more about hiring youth with disabilities.

Donate

Donate to the program, underwrite a stipend allowing a local nonprofit to provide opportunities for a young person, or make an in-kind donation, such as providing materials or giveaways for a career training. Donations in any amount are appreciated and tax deductible.

Sponsor

Sponsor training and other events and activities to support Chicago’s youth.

Pledge your time now, or call and speak with a specialist.

Volunteer

Volunteer your time to prepare our next generation of business leaders. Possible topics include leadership skills, teamwork, understanding the corporate environment, proper business attire and conflict management.
